- Students had the opportunity to select their roles for acting out a portion of Act III
- Students who did not chose to go up in front of the class for the acting out part could still do a reading part for the remainder of Act III (which we read from the textbook). Students who chose to do neither received a zero for participating for the day.
- Students completed their summary (journal) for Act III and added to their character web
- Students were given time to check and make sure the group roles were completed for Acts I & II
- A Day (Oct. 31st) Students also did vocabulary testing
Discussion- Real events versus The Crucible's portrayal
(Example- Mary Warren was 20 in real life and Abigail Williams was 11. There was not an affair between Abby and Mr. Proctor in real life. In the Crucible Abby is portrayed as older and Mary Warren is portrayed as younger. Proctor really was convicted.)
