Saturday April 25th Workshop at B.S.U.
Here is the letter I received:
Dear Columbia High School Educator:
Our names are Sarah Johnson and Pamela Craig and we are the founders of a new organization here in Boise called GirlSense & NonSense. We are dedicated to inspiring and empowering young female artists and we run workshops and publish a quarterly digital magazine to strive towards those goals.
This Saturday, (April 25th, 9am-12pm) is our first major creative writing workshop, which will be held on the Boise State campus in the Student Union Building. We've partnered with the Boise State Freewrite Club and the Boise State English Department to make this event free for high school girls to attend.
We're writing in hopes that you might share this amazing opportunity with your students. Workshop participants will be working in small groups with a mentor and receiving feedback and guidance during the writing session. Some of these mentors are BSU faculty members, MFA graduates, or undergraduates, but all are similar in their passion for writing.
This is an excellent opportunity to connect a young writer with a mentor and with our organization. Interested students must RSVP to this event (link below) as seats are extremely limited.
Should you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reply to this email.
Thank you for your time,
Pamela & Sarah
