Bell Ringer: Research Paper Handout (see below)
Review- Expectations of Research Project
** From a list I provided, students chose two civil rights leaders. Their goal is to determine, through research, which of the two leaders is the most effective leader. Their paper will be persuasive and will argue that one of the famous leaders is a better leader than the other once (Compare and Contrast).
COMPUTER LAB
- Students spent the majority of the period in the lab doing their research. They were reminded about sites, like Wikipedia, that are NOT acceptable sources.
- Students found three viable articles for EACH civil rights leader and copy and pasted those articles on a Word document along with the proper sourcing (see handout). If students were not being disruptive, and turned all six articles into my inbox, they received full daily work points (20 pts.).
