Bell Ringer- Hand back letters to the editor and review common errors
Review- Expectations for 13 Colonies Project (handout below)
Computer Lab- One partner doing the PPT and one doing the Brochure
Same content requirements for both except the brochure will NOT have a Works Cited page and will NOT have a current picture.
PPT/Prezi is informative and must have 8 slides (including a title slide and a Works Cited slide in MLA format)
Brochure is persuasive and is a marketing tool to convince others to come to your colony. It is solely based on the "old" colony though so your marketing audience is primarily Europeans. You must use true information (from research) with the exception of your fake address and phone number which go on the back of your brochure for fake contact information. Everything else is real, including pictures. Your brochure is worth 100 points and will be graded based on content ( meets research requirements), persuasive appeal, and quality of overall product. For example, misspelled words and awkward white space affect the quality of your product. Do not hyphenate words on a brochure. ;)
Note- Computer lab days and presentation due dates are listed on your handout.
Presentation rubric is posted below, but each class creates expectations next class period.
