CURRENT RESEARCH PAPER
-Students collected five articles and highlighted important facts from then
- Students completed a CDW chart (attached below) to structure their thesis, claims, and warrants
- Students were given time in class to write their rough draft and to type their final draft.
- Final draft must be a minimum of five paragraphs and include three claims that are supported by hard data facts.
- Their facts must be sourced both in the paragraph and at the end of the paper in a work cited page (MLA format)
- Lack of proper sourcing will result in a failing grade.
Example
Jones, Bill. "Title of Article." Publisher/Web Site. 13 October 2009. Web. <full URL>
Note: Second line is indented. The Work Cited page is a separate page at the end, but also has a continuous page heading (last name and page number) like the rest of the pages. Some teachers do not require a full URL; I do. If the author is not available they may write "n.a." or simply start with the title of the article.
Technical Difficulties Note:
This web site has been having difficulties. Some days I have not been able to post. A couple of times I have posted only to find it blank the next morning. I apologize.
