- Brainstorm "my obsession" topics/ Intro Exploratory Report (video clips for examples)
June 18 (Tuesday) Computer Lab (first hour)
- Begin "my obsession" (research component) Exploratory Report (MLA format)
- Research your topic
- Print out no less than 3 articles on your topic (do not copy and paste to a word document (use "print selection" if the article is long)
- No Wikipedia, informal blogs, or other unreliable sources/ use credible sources (no less than 3 web sites)
- Begin reading and highlighting/annotating facts from your printed article
June 19 (Wednesday)
- Review Thesis, Claim, Data Points, Warrants (show examples)
- CDW Chart (due end of period)
June 20 (Thursday)
- Writing the intro paragraph
- "Hook" Practice (group activity)
- Writing a body paragraph (review on the board)

- Write at least first body paragraph for E.R.
