a) Hook- write a few words to remind you OR write the actual hook
(b) Build Background- (example) Keeping track of time has been a social fascinations for thousands of years. How a society keeps track of time, has significantly changed.
c) Thesis Question- (example) How much have timepieces changed over the years?
II. (Topic Sentence 1) example- Old Watches
a) Fact from one of your articles (quote or paraphrase about old watches)
b) YOW (your own words)- make a comment about old watches, but avoid opinions
c) Fact from one of your articles (quote or paraphrase about old watches)
d) YOW (your own words)- make a comment about old watches, but avoid opinions
e) Transition - (example) Watches have evolved from sun dials to internet suppliers
III. (Topic Sentence 2) - New Watches
same as previous outline (a, b, c, d, e), but about new watches
