Writing Challenge (Cups) record in journal
Six cups were lined up on the board. Each cup concealed the name of a reward. Students were given 10 minutes (timed writing) to persuade me as to why "they" deserved a certain cup. The student with the strongest persuasion won the reward listed inside the cup. We discussed the ethos, pathos, and logos, used by each of the writers.
Reminder: If you did not turn in your exploratory essay last class period, please e-mail it to me. That grade will not go on first quarter, but the assignment still needs to be turned in to avoid point deductions which will start next week.
