Oct. 28/29- Students went to the computer lab and typed the final draft of their complaint letter. When they finished they were asked to either save or print out 5 articles on their debatable topic.
Extra Credit Opportunity- Bring a stamp and envelope (properly filled out) and I will actually mail the letter for extra credit. Remember to use the school's address as your return address.
Last Class-
Reviewed the Research Process/Steps
1) Select your debatable topic
2) Print out your five research articles (must be from 5 different, reliable sources)
3) As your read- highlight and annotate important facts
4) Develop 3-5 claims from those highlighted facts
5) Create an Outline (see example below)
6) Write your rough draft
7) Edit/Revise
8) Type your final draft (including a work cited page- MLA)
